Why Retreat?
Because it's life changing and fun.  It is important for the spiritual development of a woman that she spends time with other women.  Many Christians for thousands of years have found spiritual retreats to be a critical component of their spiritual walk.  Away from the pressures of the city, women are able to focus on what is important and learn in the stillness of the mountains and forest. Come and enjoy some great fellowship, activities and good food!

Our facility:

The Kinzua Youth Center is a rustic lodge situated on 7 acres of forest land, surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest, seasonal camps and full time residential homes. We are located in rural McKean County, between Warren and Bradford PA. We are close to the Kinzua Dam and the Allegheny Reservoir. Camping, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling are available nearby.

The lodge is a one and two story frame building with over 4,500 sq. ft. of space. We are currently in the process of remodeling to suit our needs, and when finished we will have expanded residential dorm space for young men and women. We hope to open a new bunkhouse in the future. Also, as part of our renovations, we will develop cottages and tent camping sites on the property. We have a spacious great room, and smaller areas for break out sessions or quiet reflection. A large outdoor deck is in the plan for renovation as well.

We currently have four standard bedrooms on the ground floor, set up with two twin beds each. There is additional sleeping space in the second floor loft, and a fold out sofa bed in the great room. Currently we can accomodate 20 overnight guests. We are a four season facility, with hiking, biking, boating, camping, cross country skiing, snowmobiling available nearby on the Allegheny National Forest.

Our facility is ideal for youth retreats or small group gatherings. We also offer service opportunities for adolescents. We offer individual and group service projects and ideas, both at our facility and in conjunction with other local groups.

We invite all Youth Ministers, Religious Education leaders and others who work with adolescents to investigate our facility. Why not hold your next retreat or small group work session at our lodge?
